Today our children had an exciting day as they helped raise awareness of electronic recycling. In conjunction with KU Leuven and Storyrunner, the children were involved in film making and became true recycling superheroes!
As part of our mission to develop environmentally aware citizens, today our children took part in the making of a short information film as part of the AWARE project.
“The aim of the project is to increase the share of waste ending up in official take-back systems instead of losing the resource to waste disposal or incineration plants and collection outside official take-back systems. To achieve that, the project focuses on education and involvement of school children, both to raise the awareness of end-of-life electronics as a resource, and through them to bring the message into families and the society as whole.”
Our children were amazed to discover the valuable resources that are found in our old mobile phones, laptops and other household electrical appliances.
