A strange thing happened in school today! A rainforest grew in our Grade 2/3 classroom and a circus tent appeared in Preschool! Our new IPC units have begun.
Grade 2 & 3 Saving The World!
Our Grade 2&3 children will be discovering all about rainforests and their importance for our planet’s survival. Rainforests once covered 14% of our world’s surface. Now they cover less than 5%. Every second, an area of the rainforest the size of a football field is being destroyed. Some scientists believe that, if we lose our rainforests, we might put our whole planet at risk. What will Grade 2&3 do to help save the rainforest and the animals that make it their home?
Preschool 3 - The Circus is Coming to Town!
Have you heard the saying ‘laughter is the best medicine’? Laughing and having fun are such an important part of our lives. We all love being entertained and enjoying ourselves. For a very long time, the circus has been a place where people, from many parts of the world, go to be entertained, laugh and have fun.
Our children in Preschool 3 will become circus entertainers, developing lots of skills along the way. They will explore all aspects of putting on a show from making and selling tickets, designing posters and collaborating to create a wonderful spectacle for children and parents .
The circus is definitely coming to ISL!
