About Us

Our History

The International school of Leuven was founded in 2013 when it opened its doors to just a
handful of students. It was established by IMEC, VIB, KU Leuven and Stad Leuven to meet
the needs of the growing international community here in Leuven. Since our small
beginnings in the playground of a local school we have grown considerably and have
                                   recently moved to our brand new permanent location in Heverlee, conveniently located for public transport and motor way access.

Our Mission

When children have the confidence to believe in themselves they can become the changemakers of the future.

Our students will be empowered with:
